Transportation

Most people in Guano rely on walking, cycling and private cars as their primary forms of transportation. The village does not have any public transportation systems or services.

The length of time you spend in Guano will depend on what type of experience you are looking for. If you are looking for an educational tour and would like to explore the area and its history, we suggest at least half a day. If you are looking to have a relaxing beach escape, you may wish to stay longer. There is plenty to do and explore in and around Guano, making it a great destination for a day trip or overnight stay.

The climate in Guano is highland subtropical, with temperatures ranging from hot during the day to cool at night. The rainy season runs from October to April. The average annual temperature is 19°C (66°F).

Time to visit

The best times to visit Guano are between the months of October and March when the weather is dry and warm. These months usually have less rain and humidity compared to the rest of the year. Additionally, due to the fact that the dry season in the Galápagos typically occurs between December and May, visiting Guano during those months may offer a pleasant and comfortable experience.
