Transportation

Bern has an extensive public transportation network that includes buses, trams, S-Bahn suburban rail and the Bern tram, which consists of both underground and surface lines. The Bernmobil buses operate an extensive network around Bern and its suburbs, and serves all parts of the city. The Bern old town is a pedestrian-only zone, however commuters can use the Bernmobil buses and trams for access. There is also a train service that connects Bern with other cities in Switzerland.
