Who runs wheretotravel.info, why it exists and how we keep it independent: no paid rankings, every fact with a source and a date.
wheretotravel.info helps you decide where to travel and when. Every destination gets a score for every month of the year, worked out from real weather records rather than from brochures, plus honest notes on what each month is actually like.
Why this site exists
Most "best time to visit" advice is vague, copied from site to site, or written to sell a package. We wanted one place that answers the question with data: how warm it really is, how many days it rains, how much sun you get and how warm the sea is — and then says plainly which months are best, which are fine and which to avoid.
What you will find here
- Month hubs — where to go in each month, ranked.
- Country and city pages — the best months, what each month is like, where to go and practical facts.
- Festivals and events — upcoming dates, checked against official sources.
- Guides — longer articles on specific trips and topics.
Editorial integrity
- No paid rankings. No tourism board, hotel or tour company can pay to change a score, a best month or a position in a list. Rankings come only from the data and the published formula (see Methodology).
- Every fact has a source and a date. Climate figures, country facts, holidays and event dates come from named public sources and are refreshed on a schedule.
- AI is a tool, not the author of record. Parts of the text are drafted with AI from our own data, then checked automatically against that data (numbers, months and names must match) and reviewed. Anything that fails the checks is not published.
- Photos are credited. Images come from free photo libraries with their author and licence shown.
- Corrections are welcome. Every page has a "Report outdated info" link, and you can contact us.
How the site is funded
The site shows a small number of ads and may, in future, link to booking partners. This never affects the rankings. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.
