This hub covers 18 Asian countries, from Armenia and Turkey in the west to Japan in the east and Indonesia in the south. There is no single best time to go: Qatar, Bahrain, India and Thailand are best in December and January, while Indonesia and Taiwan peak in June and July. Japan is best in May and October, Armenia in September and October.

When is the best time to visit Asia?

There is no single best month for Asia. Our data covers 18 countries, and their best months differ a lot. December to March suits Qatar and Bahrain. November to January suits India, and November to February suits Nepal. For mid-year trips, choose Mongolia (May to September), Taiwan (June and July) or Indonesia (June and July). Pick your country first, then your month.

Where should I go in Asia in August?

Mongolia is the strongest choice for August. It ranks first that month, and August is one of its best months. Turkey and Taiwan also rank high in August. But August is not in the best-month list of either country. Turkey peaks in June, July, September and October. Taiwan peaks in June and July. Of the 18 countries, only Mongolia lists August as a best month.

Where is good to visit in Asia in December?

Qatar, Nepal and Bahrain rank highest in December. December is also one of the best months for Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Thailand. So December is a strong month for the Gulf, South Asia and parts of South-Eastern Asia. Do not plan a December trip for Indonesia or Vietnam. Indonesia's best months are June and July, and Vietnam's is March.

Is South-East Asia good to visit in December?

It depends on the country. December is one of the best months for Thailand and Malaysia. Thailand also peaks in January, and Malaysia in November. Indonesia is better in June and July. Vietnam's best month is March. Singapore's best months are January and June. If you want one December trip, Thailand or Malaysia fits best.
