Best months differ a lot: most of the Caribbean and Central America peaks between January and March, Peru and Bolivia in July and August, and Chile in December and January. The United States and Canada both suit September, with the United States also good in April and October.

Where in the Americas is good to visit in August?

In August, head to South America. Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia top our list for the month. Peru and Ecuador also count August among their best months. In the Caribbean and Central America, no country in our data lists August as a best month, so look south if you travel then.
